UAE document attestation
Lexoford Services L.L.C-FZ coordinates Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation and translation where a document is not already in English or Arabic. Licence 2651822.01.
Lexoford Services is not a law firm. The only Authorized Professional Partner credential it publishes is IFZA company setup, Partner ID 11215-7490. Lexoford Services is also a SHAMS Authorized Partner and an Expo City Dubai Free Zone Channel Partner. That credential is not a MoFA partnership.
What the service covers
Identify whether the paper is an individual-affairs document or a commercial document. MoFA prices those two classes differently, and a contract may count as more than one document.
MoFA rejects a file that is missing the governing-body attestation, and it rejects laminated documents. Lexoford Services checks that sequence before a UAE submission.
MoFA says anyone may submit on behalf of the holder, through mofa.gov.ae or the UAE MOFA app. Inside the UAE, a courier collects the originals after payment.
The FAQ requires English or Arabic, or an official translation. Translation is arranged when the source document is in another language. Lexoford Services is not a law firm.
MoFA charges are government charges. Lexoford company-formation service fees start at AED 3,999. This page adds no Lexoford attestation price.
What MoFA publishes
Checked 2026-10-14 on the MoFA English FAQ and the MoFA service guide PDF.
The service guide says attestation confirms the validity of the seal and signature on documents issued in the UAE or abroad. Services cover individual-affairs documents and commercial documents.
Original in English or Arabic, or an official translation. Already attested by the appropriate governing bodies. Not laminated. A document issued in the UAE is attested by its governing entity first, with a stated exception for digital documents issued by a government entity or attested electronically. Example on the FAQ: a birth certificate attested by the Ministry of Health and Prevention or the local health authority.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country, then the UAE embassy or consulate in that country through MoFA online channels, then attestation in the UAE on www.mofa.gov.ae or the UAE MOFA app.
Governing-entity attestation, then MoFA, then a UAE embassy or mission abroad. Courier booking on mofa.gov.ae covers the UAE. Missions abroad set their own appointment rules.
The FAQ lists AED 150 for individual-affairs documents and AED 2,000 for commercial documents. Commercial invoices use a scale in the attestation fees guide, which this page does not copy. Courier options named on the FAQ, inside the UAE: normal, 3 working days, AED 40; express, 1 working day, AED 150 excluding VAT. Another answer on the same FAQ caps a normal transaction at 25 documents and an express transaction at 10 documents. Customer happiness centres are closed. The channels named are the website, the app, UAE embassies and consulates, and a phone line for specified cases.
Commercial examples named on the FAQ include commercial registration, minutes of partners or directors, a board decision, a trade licence, a partnership or shareholder certificate, a memorandum, financial statements and a commercial power of attorney. The FAQ says the list is not exhaustive.

What Lexoford Services does not guarantee. Legal coordination is a separate scope.

Frequently asked questions
The MoFA service guide says attestation is a procedure to confirm the validity of the seal and signature on documents issued in the UAE or abroad. The MoFA FAQ says the original must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the issuing country, then by the UAE embassy or consulate in that country through MoFA online channels, then in the UAE through www.mofa.gov.ae or the UAE MOFA app. The same FAQ says anyone may submit documents on behalf of the holder.
